Commodore 64 -=GEOS=- *** GEOS (Graphic Environment Operating System) was an operating system from Berkeley Softworks (later GeoWorks for PC). Released in 1986, it provided a GUI for the C64,128 and Apple II. GEOS was handled with mouse or joystick. It utilized a technology called turboDisk to achieve fast access to disk drives. NASA Earth on Instagram: "Aerosols are tiny solid or liquid particles in our atmosphere like dust, sulfates from pollution or volcanoes, wildfire smoke, and more. NASA’s GEOS model shows how these particles can affect the air we breathe—even from far away. In this visualization of aerosol data from the GEOS model, different colors represent different aerosols. Sea salt is blue, dust is pink, smoke is orange, and sulfates from pollution and volcanoes are green. Data is shown for Aug. 1 to Sept. 1
