The FDNY’s Marine Division deploys a rapid response summer boat program starting in May and running through the end of October. The companies are spread out throughout the city in areas that aren't immediately covered by the full-time boats. Marine Company 8 is located in Great Kills Harbor on Staten Island and covers the largest area for the summer boat program.
