On Sunday, this 82 metre long vehicle travelled from King's Lynn to Norwich under police escort. It took 9 hours. The vehicle's gross weight was 571 tonnes, and was 5.2m wide. Allelys were hauling a 272t supergrid transformer for the Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm project. The next one is due to get going at the Port of King's Lynn from 06:30 on Sunday, 1st February. It will travel the same route via the A47 to the Hornsea Converter Station. Police will be holding traffic for the abnormal load. |
